Hi gilmoregirls,
just watched some of them,
do you know how those scammers get the telefon numbers?
just asking because some of my relatives and friends in germany get those calls ... and it is always obvious that it is a scam(*),
but it is always a mystery how their telefon numbers could end up in a scammers list and that they even try, because waste of time.
(*) it is obvious because they NEVER had to deal with support in english with indian accent, it is like someone speaking french with african accent to english speaker ... won't happen.

Hi, they obtain numbers through a number of means: they buy/sell lists of numbers or they simply have computers systematically robo-dial all of the possible phone numbers in any given area. If any of the numbers answer or call back, their software will remember that number and add it to a list of numbers that are likely to answer. I personally get several calls daily from scammers of all kinds on my personal phone number. lol
Basically, the best way to get them to stop is to never answer or interact with them. They will eventually stop, but unfortunately another scamming operation might start randomly calling you. It's pretty crazy how widespread this actually is.
Thanks for asking!
