Go back to where you belong.
If you want to know more about this station, check out AbandonedBerlin.com.
They were actually the source of inspiration for many of my adventures in abandoned buildings in the area near Berlin.
We showed up here one day because we had nothing better to do and someone had heard of it. This time it wasn't me. Typically I was the person who found the latest place to go on an adventure and go exploring. I don't know why these trips were so fascinating to me. Perhaps it was a glimpse back in time. Perhaps nothing stands in Los Angeles abandoned for very long before it gets demolished and replaced. Who knows.
Either way, this was one of the more interesting train stations to explore because we got to really see all the workings of an older Train station. Check out some of the pictures and you can see it in Winter and not. We made some serious climbs here when we found some rope and went climbing as high as we could. It was rather unbelievable after the fact when we were a bit sober. Oh, did I forget to mention, on every abandoned trip we were drinking beer. It was a given. Even though it bolstered our courage, still oft times I had to help persuade people that we'd be fine. Though there is one trip that one person was totally paranoid and refused to go in. Not this one of course, but whatever. We got to explore and I have some personal shots like the ones here... or I did, if I can recover them. Stupid external harddrives.

It is, there's another cool place that was too far out from Berlin to do a proper GA for... But it's even cooler :)

I wandered around that whole area... the entire time we were avoiding people driving jeeps. It didn't happen often, but we saw one at least once an hour and had to stay out of sight :)

Looks really cool. I'm wandering now, in Google Maps street view, though.

For the grammatically inclined:
This actually gives the meaning of "you can see it in Winter and not [see it]". It's very confusing, but also rather amusing. :P
A better alternative is 'you can see it as it is in Winter and otherwise".
The key is that 'not' is a negation of context, while 'otherwise' refers to a different aspect of the preceding topic.
Example: "You can come now or not [come]" versus "You can come now or otherwise [come later]".
These adventures of yours are definitely my favorite part of the event, thank you for offering us so much. :)

Actually, Sooth, this can be technically ambiguous depending on what is being elided. You are choosing to elide only part of what was intended to be elided. Sure, one interpretation is what you've proposed, however, my professors would also support my interpretation and its intended meaning.
It can be read as "You can see it in winter and not [see it in winter]", to indicate that you can 'see' it both ways.
Negation is a tricky thing. Eliding also is. Grammar is flexible, and I'm not a prescriptivist having studied Applied Linguistics.
I'd prefer not to get into grammar discussions with you because I think we come from very different schools of thought, but as a Teaching English as a Foreign Language professional, I felt I needed to at least defend this one.
We've done plenty of syntax trees showing how and affects eliding and how ambiguous English is. It is actually determined by speaker intention rather than rules of language. :)
Tiny edit above as I realized yet another way to interpret the eliding.

So, what did you mean by saying that? And what is it we can see?

Pictures of the train station during winter, and not during winter :)

It is, isn't it :D
That's half the reason I went around looking at different abandoned buildings, I got snapshots in time that survived sort of :)

I would like to see those, in a proper time. :3.

Yikes... Abandoned places always look so creepy! I've never been to an abandoned place and I don't think I would like to!

Ah, you'd be fine. You just need a seasoned experienced bodyguard to protect you :D

I'm amazed that they let you roam around in the "abandoned parts". I used to do something some-what similar as a kid with a group of friends in a huge factory at the far edge of my town but we were many times chased by one of the few guards or dogs :)
Great pics man and an awesome train!

Glad you've been enjoying yourself.
Berlin is special, there are so many of them (abandoned buildings), that they can't really keep an eye on all of them...
I left out a few, one where there were regular patrols, and another I didn't even dare set foot in due to patrols, dogs, cops. XD
