I recently started watching the Chicago series on NBC, Fire, PD and Med, and I've been enjoying the idea of a crosslinked universe in TV again. For those of you unaware, in the 90s the original Law & Order used to consistently crossover with a great underrated series called Homicide : Life on the Street, and through other crossovers, a very large universe was born, and through crossovers amongst themselves and with L&O : SVU, the tradition continues. I used to be a huge SVU fan albeit the show has been missing something since Stabler left, although that thing they're missing has been found again with Hank Voight in Chicago PD. Anyways, if you like decent TV, consider giving these shows a spin. And if you love great TV, pirate yourself some Homicide : Life on the Street. It's based on the same book as "The Wire" so if you like that, you'll definitely enjoy it. :D
