I can't see his gift inventory, but he does have MNC the game in his library, so he should know the difference between this (paid game) and SUPER MNC (free to play). I hope all the beta invites have been destroyed by now, so I'm going to believe in him for now.
different games, this is the previous version, was also released on xbox360, super wasn't. I think this also unlocks some characters in super monday night combat.

This isn't Super Monday Night Combat, but Monday Night Combat. They're different games, and they play differently.
