Feel free to comment below leaving your recommendation for the best type of houseplant. Another Friday is upon us and I'm here alone, so an aesthetically pleasing yet hard to kill reminder of that loneliness might be nice.

Thankee kindly for the link, I hadn't thought of selecting a houseplant based on what they filter or what they could do aside from reminding me that a living thing nearby needs some water from time to time. On the whitelist you go.

There are a lot of house plants to choose from. It really depends on your lighting and how much space you have. I grow bonsai and have another 50 house plants. Yes 50. Lucky bamboo is a nice one to grow. You could also try growing something from seed. You could use the seeds of a lemon from the store and grow a lemon tree from seed. Spider plants are really easy to grow and take care of. Also Sansavera (snake plant) is really easy to grow and it both it and spider plant clean the air. Jade is a really easy plant to learn how to bonsai with. You could also look at taking cuttings of local plants, as long as you know what they are and that they are safe. Also you could get a pet cat. :)

Thankee kindly for the detailed response. The lemon tree and bonsai ideas are nice, I will have to look into those further.
