This really sounds like a wind-up from a bunch of psychopathic psychiatrists.

(dull thud)
"That's another one that's fainted"

So not only is it a word for the fear of long words but it's also a way to self diagnose. If that word scares you, you are hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobic!
