There should be a "Redeem" button next to the key, you can use that to activate it without the Steam client, you only need Internet access. And the authenticator, if you're using it.
I know, but I had a very busy weekend, hence why it took me until Monday to do even that. Now I'm sick, but at least I redeemed the key - thanks again :)
