then it really depends. do you care about visibility more or having a group of people most likely to actually appreciate and enjoy/play the game.

I do only join giveaways for games that I would actually play.:) I don't idle any of my wins for cards, and even if the game is super crappy, I will play it.:) I write down the won games on my Steam Profile, and I'm playing two won games currently. Styx: Master of Shadows and Layers of Fear: Masterpiece Edition. Both are really good games, and I highly recommend them (Layers of Fear made me jump a few times last night while playing it!).:)

The only exceptions are games that are broken and cannot be played, or have been abandoned and make it impossible to be played. An example of the latter is BloodGate. This game, even though there is supposed to be a single player aspect, had all of its servers shut off and you can't play it even for single player. Which is stupid. They could easily have made a patch making it playable offline, but they didn't.

I knew that going in though (for that game), as it was a friend on Steam that was giving it away with the disclaimer that it was shutting down. I figured it would be a game that not everyone has, and that maybe, just maybe, it would be given an offline patch someday. Until then, it will have to sit in my Library collecting dust. :(
