a game about Baba Yaga!
do you have some other slavic/folk inspired games to recommend?

obviously!
Edit: all the games! not just the third one. whoever reading this never checked out Witcher 1 and Witcher 2, it may prove worthy of your time!

The Thea series. Thea: The Awakening and Thea 2: The Shattering

I like the implementation of slavic gods in Thea. i haven't found the time to play it for long enough to form an opinion, but seems like the 4X turn-based strategy community looks favourably upon it (and aren't they a tough crowd to please?).

Notoriously tough to please! :)

Machinarium, Pilgrims, Samorost 1-3 are great Puzzle, Point & Click games from Amanita Design
Also Kingdom Come: Deliverance comes to mind :)
Thanks !

Kingdom Come is incredible. just walking around the forests makes me feel home. and such a story on top of that! that's a strong recommendation, seconded.
I keep seeing the puzzles recommended, and so I played Samorost 1 earlier this year. it's so whimsical and even confusing, but has its undeniable charm to it!

You can try Kujlevka. Also comes to mind some games, that may be not what you searching for, but also great games: Tiny Bunny, Six nights at Chernavsky, Morok

haven't heard of any of them, thanks! seem to be generally dark themed.

Black Book is quite good, though surprisingly long.

it's unique. i completed the prologue to this game back when it was available on Steam. slavic themes always blend seamlessly with fantasy and magic, and i liked how the game worked with it. I'll certainly go back to it eventually, now that it was free on epic.
