Is there any difference between this and the currently free version on Steam? It seems like the full game was made free as of Tuesday 04/18/2023.

Yeah, it's the exact same version.
I kinda thought so but wasn't sure. I eventually realized that I hadn't synced Steam and SteamGifts after adding the free game yesterday. So that's why it was still showing - if I had synced, I wouldn't have even seen this giveaway.
