yeah, it is rather disheartening how awful most ratios are... I think I am done doing public events after this. I love the energy of them but I feel like most winners just want another game in their account and don't give a shit what it is... Sigh :-(
I much prefer just gifting people directly from their wishlists and making them happy. Maybe I'll just start adding people I enjoy and like on Steam and doing that. It's not like my level does me any favors here in terms of winning anything from my wishlist - I am better off trading for that.
Also, I recently signed up for unlucky-7 as a way to encourage newcomers to learn to gift back but even that group is a hot mess. I dunno, I feel like the world has moved on from the initial premise of this site.
