i'm not 100% sure, i think it's more like 50/50 - many characters are the same and it is many years later after the happenings of mirrors edge. i'll so enjoy the new game :3

This game has always seemed nice. I'd like to try this one before the new one, I generally don't like to try sequels of games unless the first ones sucked or I win the newer one or something. Thank you for the chance ^-^

I've still yet to play the original Mirror's Edge, but played both parts of the PS4 Closed Beta for Catalyst.
One thing I can say is unless you have a good sense of direction and can remember the so-called "shortcuts" ... You WILL fail, fall, splat, miss-jump, and on at least one occasion get splattered into a wall while dangling from a robot. A lot.
It did feel somewhat like a sequel to me, given the references to Faith's sister and fact she was in prison, due to start new "employment" before helped to escape by her former friends. It certainly had that "several years later" feel to it though, but a sequel doesn't necessarily need to begin "the next day" either.
I was highly disappointed when getting to the end both times and realising it was a beta... I was enjoying the game even went hunting down most of the "secrets" and stars.

i asked at my local gamestop store if the i can MAYBE have the game already (living in germany), because i know games come always 1-2 days earlier, but i already saw the package and almost came to it :D

I think I am more stoked about playing Catalyst at a higher framerate then I did with Mirrors Edge on Ps3 *when I had PS+ back then. Don't have it anymore. First game is good but I never really gotten around to completing it on PS3. Grats on making the Giveaway for the original.
