Key will be send through SG. I'll be giving away Ridge Racer Unbounded too, but only to whitelisted people. To get Whitelisted all you have to do is recommend me your favorite book and give me some details about it. Just to mention it, I don't do whitelist giveaways often (this will be my first as a matter of fact) Good luck everyone

My favorite book series has got to be The Lord of the Rings, but I'm sure you know what that is. If you're looking for fantasy, try Trudi Canavan's The Magician's Guild, and the 7 books that came after that, I really liked those ones.
My most favorite lesser-known book would have to be Rio Anaconda and its "sequel" Gringo wśród Dzikich Plemion by Wojciech Cejrowski, but I have no idea whether you can find those in whatever language you read in. It's about the real-life adventures the author had (he's an explorer/writer) in the South/Central American jungles. He writes in a very comical manner, I had many laughs with those books.

I'll certainly check the magician's guild out, sounds interesting. I'm trying to find Rio Anaconda, but can't seem to find it in English or my native language. Which is a shame I do like travel stories.

I have to second Xaelroth's Magician's Guild. The first trilogy centers abound a girl from streets and her distrusts to the mages, while becoming gradually more and more intertwined with the fate of the guild and the land.
Also an important read for all fantasy fans: The Mistborn trilogy from Brandon Sanderson. A very unique (logical!) magic system, featuring like above (I swear, this is coincidence!) an unlikely heroine. This time she fights (not alone) from the underground against a mage who attained godhood in the past.
If you prefer a more humorous read: Try the Bartimaeus Sequence from Jonathan Stroud. The primary setting is in an alternate history London at sometime around the year 2000 (not explicitly stated). The city is ruled by summoners of different kinds of djinni. The name-giving Bartimaeus is djinni with some strong personal views and even stronger sarcasm. After reading the first chapter, this series brought a friend, who hasn't read a book for many years, back into reading.

Both Mistborn and Bartimaeus Sequence have been added to my to read list. Thanks a lot MilConDoin, I really like your suggestions and can't wait to try them.

I've always liked history, and although the middle ages are not my favorite time in history, I'll check them out, I'll trust you on your word.

The Name of the Rose looks good. There weren't murder mystery books on my list yet so that's nice. Don't know about the first one, but will look into it later.

Just be warned about The Name of the Rose: This is at times some heavy reading. In the movie you see the theological discussion mentioned almost in passing, focusing more on the mystery to be solved by Sean Connery. In the book you can read the discussion and many others things in more detail.
If you have the endurance to get through that, it is quite a good book. If not, you should stay with the movie.

I've read some heavy stuff in my own language, so I don't think it will be a big problem. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

My favourite series are Tolkien's books. In particular I like the gluttonous fantasy beginning of the Hobbit, which became epic fantasy poem in the last part of the book!

My favourite is The Metamorphosis (Franz Kafka).
A friend of mine recently gifted me One hundred years of solitude (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), which i liked a lot, i recommend that as well :)

I've read the Metamorphosis for one of my german classes in highschool, it was good. I've googled One hundred years of solitude, it seems interesting. Especially since it belongs to one of my favorite genres, magical realism. Thanks for the suggestion.

Leviathan Wakes is an awesome book. Sci-fi with a hint of horror. Kicks off a series called The Expanse.

Googled it, the description was a bit vague, but not unappealing. I'll certainly add it to my list of books that I want to read.
