what works for me probably wont work for you because of the amount of different head sizes and shapes their are, especially when you throw in eat & nose placement too. So you would be better off going into a local eye glasses shop or even optometrist (even if they don't sell glasses directly they will have recommendations for who you could get some from) and try some glasses on until you find one you like. I personally would stay away from major retailers with eye glasses department and eye glass store chains because of my principles and how crappy they normally are. I would also recommend trying to avoid brands/company that are owned by Luxottica because of how crappy they are and their the reason why the prices for eye glasses are so jacked up.

I recently got new ones, 2 weeks ago. I've been wanting to change for long, so I was already happy just for the change. Plastic rim, reinforced arms with springs. It's dark purple outside, and mauve inside. They're really lightweight, both the glasses and the lenses, they fit perfectly (lay on the nose directly), never move so I don't have to make that push-up adjustment anymore, and I am very happy with the acquisition. They weren't too expensive, the lenses were more expensive, around €270 total. However, while not being white-brand, I forgot which brand they were, and I can't tell you because for some strange reason they have no logo anywhere.
Lately, at least here in Spain, what's in fashion is the metal rim ones, specially silver ones are seen more and more, but I don't want those anymore, as they need those nasty plates to lay on the nose sides, and those end hurting me. Never again. Last ones had it and it was a PITA. For me the new glasses are like changing from a Pinto to a 911.
And I feel sexy.
