The original games were banned from Steam. I'm not sure what happened, but I bet they were getting fake positive reviews. Apparently this game has a new level and some better game mechanics. I don't know if the updates were originally meant for the original game or if they added some stuff so they can call it a new game to get it back on Steam.

It looks like you can get the new game for free if you own the original and send the dev and email.
