Yes and no. It seems like they panicked during that gleam-based giveaway because they suddenly realized they might be in breach of contract with whatever bundle site they'd entered into. Finding yourself on the receiving end of a lawsuit, potentially, is serious. So they pulled the plug. Clumsy, but understandable.

They should make amends with the promoter, if they haven't already, but that's between them.

The vast majority of users who lost their key initially got it back from the GA here. Not 100%, but they made a very credible attempt to make good with the community.

And hey, free game. I lost my first free key. Easy come, easy go. I can't really claim I got ripped off, and no-one else can either. Disappointed, sure, but shit happens.

It's another good lesson in how NOT to launch and promote a game.
