I was initially a dog person, but I have three cats now. I'd consider myself an all round animal person, but I probably still naturally lean towards dogs. Living with chronic illness I think perhaps dogs might be a bit rambunctious for me at the moment though, since I generally need a more relaxed environment. I look forward to the day I feel better and have a bigger place and can get a dog, but I still love my kitties so much!

I see myself also as an "all-around" person, although I do prefer cats; they are just so... Magical!
I of course love dogs too, but since I live in a small-ish apartment now, it will be a while before I get a chance to own one.

Each has their charms! My husband is definitely a cat person. I like cats that are very affectionate, but as two of mine get older they are more 'catlike'. My first baby is still a total squishy love muffin though, so I consider myself blessed. The purring is definitely magical and the little happy eye closed face they make when you pet them. Fave thing that cats do better than dogs, lack of smell. Dogs always have the 'dog smell', while cats generally smell of nothing!

Ah, those are all truths, friend! I personally love when I pet mine on the head and they raise their head and slightly open their mouth, showing their cute lil' teeth. :3
Oh, or when I pet them and they contract their paws from pleasure. :D
Yeah, doggos do definitely have a "smell", whereas cats are scentless most fo the time haha.

The little happy kneading paws are so cute! Then you realise they need their nails trimmed cause they're stabbing you, haha. My kitty Cornelius loves to rub his tooth on my hand, so I call him fangy when he does that!
Now I'm thinking about how cute cats are while three little cat loafs sleep near by :)

Not in Stardew Valley, dogs barks whole days, and when I'm working at farm I just want to switch it for a cat :(

I've always been a cat person. I do like dogs as well but having to constantly care for them can be a pain. Also we had multiple dogs when I was young and I remember every time we got home or a guest came over there was 30 minutes of barking. No Thanks! #Catz4Lyfe!

True enough! But another big reason I don't have a dog is to avoid the "I have to go take my dog out" conundrum when away from home. Maybe one day I'll own a dog again, we don't know the future ;)

Well, taking a dog out for a walk at least 3 times a week is a must, though you'd ideally do it every day!
If you think you wouldn't be able to do something like that, opting not to get one instead is the wise, selfless choice. :)

If forced to choose, I prefer dogs, they're open and loving. Though I like cats too, we had one, he was great (but he didn't care if we exist, just put the food out in time).

As someone who has had many cats and dogs: If you raise a cat properly and treat it with respect, it will be just as loving as a dog - and it will never scratch and bite you. :)

Dogs, I had two German Shepherds and they are very loyal and friendly. Cats I don't like much because my neighbors' cats invade my house, but some cats are cute.

German Shepherds are pretty top-tier dogs, very good "all-around" breed!

Both. Each species has their pros and cons. Had cats and dogs coexisting for a good part of my life, if it wasn't for a developed cat allergy in the house would probably still have them around 🐱🐶

Yes, I would also ideally always have both; conversely of you, I don't have a dog anymore, though not due to an allergy but rather due to moving into a small apartment.
