Thank you! Comedy? Pineapple Express, Clerks, and Coming to America always keep me laughing. Action and or Drama? Got middling to bad reviews, but I really enjoyed Basic. The Matrix is possibly the best action movie of the recent past (IMHO). Or you could go with Terminator 2 or Aliens. Or if you like Pink Floyd, The Wall is pretty damn bizzare.
