TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is a story-driven turn-based tactics game that takes obvious gameplay inspiration from the XCOM franchise, combining it with anime aesthetics, a cast of superpowered vigilantes, a surprisingly complex story about crime and politics, mechanics that are much deeper than you'd think at first glance, and a ton of content to play. It's also one of my favorite indie games of recent years.

A word of warning though: Troubleshooter is a long and slow game, which takes its sweet time revealing all of its characters and gameplay options. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, it does tend to make the start of the game a bit tedious. It opens up more when you recruit the rest of the cast and unlock options like crafting equipment, taming wild animals, and building drones, but if you don't feel like fighting your way through the somewhat bland early game I wouldn't recommend spending your points here.
