Maybe if we pool our ideas we can solve the riddle. It's clearly water related. I've tried clouds, rain, water, h2o, drops, etc

lol after clicking the permalink to your comment i was quite confused where i ended up and how this was related as i already had the gist about what this is about, but i totally threw me off XD
yeah, i too think its water related.i tried, water, rain, cloud, clouds, storm, vapour, steam, ice, ... cant remember more, also wind for the heck of it.

haha, i tried wind as well, even tho they said it's definitely water-related. I also tried splash and spray, thinking about more specific to 'diving in a pool'...

i thought the diving in a pool might mean that the water would form "pools of water" aka puddles or big puddles

any ideas yet?

Nothing yet. I tried splash and such. They also said that they accounted for the variations of the word like 'splashes'

Hmmm too bad.
I also couldn't think of much more and still nothing.
Apparently there are already about 100 solvers

i actually solved it.
I#ll give you a hint... we already know that its something about water... so imagine a body of water changing levels from high to low abruptly... how is that called

The average player did roughly 10 guesses. I'm well past that. I'm sure I'll smack my head when I figure it out, but I'm not feeling at my smartest here. Tried wave again, and flood, tide, even surf. :(

ok, here another hint:
its something that can happen with a river.
it is often used as a trope in movies or series (often comedy) that take place in the wilderness/forests
i was way past that as well, but it somehow just clicked at one point

Phew! Thanks, that finally did it. Not sure how that can be found diving in a pool

Lol congrats
Maybe the pool of water is the lake or something it falls down into... Not sure, but it gave me that idea and I got it right
