There's been a wave of "developers make spiritual successors to games they made in the past" games. Bloodstained, Yooka-Laylee, Mighty No 9, etc. This fun little puzzle game is also in that collection, except like a true hipster it came out before the trend was cool.

It also has the most meta storyline i've seen in a puzzle game in awhile (alien steals game developer so that he can make the game that the alien and by extension the player is playing) and the alien is adorable. So that's neat.
