Also the book explains a lot of things that the movie doesn't.
For example when I saw the movie I thought the people were infected (similar to a zombie) but the book explains that they are vampires (that's why they attacked at night and the lights hurt them)
Actually I didn't read the book yet but a lot of people have recommended it to me

The Book of Eli is one of my favorite post-apoc movies. It's probably not a great move in the whole grand scheme of movies, but I'm rather fond of it :)
