That's pretty strange, since it's supposed to warn you that a gift is region locked before you create a link. You could try sending me a friend request on Steam and I could try redeeming the key with an US VPN and send it to you via the chat there. If that doesn't work, I'll have to send a ticket to delete the giveaway, unfortunately.
