That, and the Chinese prize it's horns for cooling water. Although, most legal sellers get their horns from other less endangered species that are related nowadays.

Yeah, Antelope horn cooling water. Actual products you can find nearly anywhere in China and SEA. It's also called Ling Yang and might be easier to find under that.
Edit: It's used in TCM to treat heatiness and works better than eating an entire watermelon. Although, Gypsum Fibrosum works for cooling water as well and is less harmful to animals.

"The horns are commonly believed to be effective at treating “heatiness”, reducing fevers, and detoxification."
normaly when a horn is collected its to fix a defective human horn but i see in this case it's not. it's sad how it still lacks logic using a dry horn for hydration/detoxification when there are many plants based drinks that work. same with fever reduction

Kinda why I said Gypsum Fibrosum might be better as an alternative. But too much of that is said to cause your legs to go soft in the long run. Think losing calcium or just weakening the leg muscles from my guess. But in all honesty, you could just avoid generally heaty foods like fried stuff, chips or spicy foods for a few days and heatiness will lower by itself with drinking of plain water.
