Anyway I planned on buying the key if this one'd be a dupe (did not want to admit to it outright in case it would entice the winner to be less than honest).
At the end of the day, I'm sure there's a moral to this, but frankly I cannot find it. Maybe someone'd see that.
No, there is no moral! It just so happens that I've been looking a bit at indiegala wins and reports about working and non-working keys so I think I've pretty much figured out what works for giveaways elsewhere and what doesn't. So just wanted to say that this game is a very bad idea. Well, since it all ended well for you, I can only wish you the best of luck in the future! :)
