My favorite costume (for myself) was my "Angel in Disguise". In other words, I was dressed like a she-devil. I found a gorgeous red cocktail dress, and paired it with a red cape, red fishnet stockings and devil horns. Don't get too excited... It was still tasteful - I was an ANGEL in disguise after all! - but it was still a very attractive costume! Got some awesome pics, but I think all of the digital copies are long gone now ;)

Sounds fun! I grew up somewhere bitterly cold, so for the most part we didn't wear a lot of sexy costumes. (At least, not if you were planning to go outside in it and actually have people know what you were. Puffy winter jackets aren't helpful for that.)
What made it an "angel in disguise" rather than a devil? Did you have wings, or was it just a backstory you made up for the costume?

Just my glowing smile and backstory. I can't pull of sultry devil ;p

Bat gifs? That's a rather unusual request :)

Thanks for the chance!
And I used to have a Tiger costume when I was younger which I loved to wear.

How about... the weirdest costume. Not entirely sure if I wore it for Halloween, but back in preschool days, I once dressed up as... an ice cream vendor. It looked pretty okay, but when I think about it now... context and all that ;)

My four year-old nephew was a carton of milk for Halloween once.

I always wanted to do a really detailed werewolf costume in a style like Curse of the Werewolf, or maybe even Monster Squad. Always been my favorite monster. But, I feel intensely uncomfortable with the sensation of makeup on my skin so the best I could probably ever do is something like Jack Nicholson in "Wolf", with just fangs and sideburns and maybe some fake blood. :/
My go-to costume over the years, since it's cheap and easy, was just one of those phantom/grim reaper robes with the removable velcro face covering that you can kinda-sorta see through but people can't see in. Sometimes I'd use the face covering, sometimes I'd take it out and put on a skull mask, things like that. It's versatile.
Also, enjoy this GIF.

I've... Yeah I've never worn an actual Halloween costume, I think. :X
This makes me laugh tho: https://images.huffingtonpost.com/2009-10-28-images-cyberman.jpg
Bats can be cute and are definitely misunderstood and unfairly treated due to ignorance and/or misinformation.

I read your post in Fnord's Advent train. You seem like a nice person, and I really like the thoughtful gift you are making for your new stepmom. Welcome to my Whitelist (I'll be making a couple of nice giveaways during the Christmas Sale).:)
