is there a way to extend giveaway time range to give more people chance? what are points for? was 1 hour time range for a giveaway to low?

Time extension, no, unfortunately not (maybe if it was already longer and Support could get back to you in time, but an hour's probably not enough time for them to do so). Some people really like these "quickie" giveaways though, specifically because the ones who make it in have better odds.
Points are slowly accumulated when other people submit games, and you spend them for your entry into a giveaway. (Practically) all the info you need to know is here, in the FAQ. :)
