As a member of the Support Staff (and therefore qualified to actually speak on behalf of Staff), we prefer that people check for region-restrictions as best they can before making a non-region-restricted giveaway. Should it latter be discovered that there is a hidden restriction, we will do our best to assist in the handling of the situation.
Indeed... I just faced that unexpected problem with extra gift of frozen synapse prime. the extra gift isn't marked at all as region lock but it is locked! lucky me I had an extra key here that can be redemed as row to solve the problem on my own. this is just one of thousands steam flaws that users can't preddict like usually happends on germany, because the gift don't even show the exclamation point in red for restriction.
I may expressed wrong trying to reduce a few words. Hope people do not read what I wrote as a minor problem that can be easily solved no matter what... but read as a solution to an unpredictable problem with region lock...

Well isnt showing any red text in your inventory so it should be fine.
