As much as I admire Sid Meier, I've gotta admit their games are kinda incomplete at release, so I'm patiently waiting for Beyond Earth's complete package before diving in myself.

I’m thinking that Beyond Earth is done. I would be surprised if they released any new updates.

Have you looked at Endless Legend? First released in 2014 and was still receiving updates.

I played a few hours of that and then jumped to something else, I should really give it another shot.

Tech was unfamiliar and I had my hero die which was pretty demoralizing.

It’s not the easiest to get into compared to Civilization games. I think the Tempest was my favorite so far.
