Haha, I don't mind silent entrants but to each their own. I myself have become one lately mainly due to the cause that I started winning after I stopped commenting on the GAs.
I do make it a point to thank the host, in that GA's comment section, as soon as I win. Perhaps I should also start thanking them after the GA is over, even if I don't win.

JK! I have a long backlog too so don't worry about it too much; unless you win GAs from groups where they have those kinds of stipulations. I try to avoid them as much as possible.
