well maybe it's not all bad cause the FPS genre of video games hasn't really done anything original and/or innovative nowadays. i mean, i recently bought Prey for my PS4 and while it's a good game, it borrows quite a bit from other game series like Bioshock, Deus Ex, and Dead Space. overall though, i'm sorry to hear that is the case on your end.
