Yo, today is my birthday. I was feeling like sharing some definitely unnecessary (cause it's a video game, obviously) but incredibly satisfying experience.
This game is the last entry in the Sea Dogs/Pirates of the Caribbean/Corsairs series (it's Russian and the games of this series have been licensed under different names outside of Russia)
These games are a buggy mess, and can be hard to get into, but once you do they're amazing. This one is particularly hard to get into, you'll have to spend a couple of hours doing boring poorly coded quests, but once you're in the open world the fun begins.
If the game got you curious, or if you're familiar with the series I'd love to recommend "Gentlemen of Fortune: Historical Eras II" which is basically a crazy heavy (around 20gig) mod for the previous entry in the series, with engine rewritten. The engine is called "Gentlemen of Fortune: Maelstrom" The mod is free, and the engine costs only 12$. It's being developed by a very small team, and yet, to my mind, it's times better than the game I'm giving away. These guys are updating the engine constantly and react to every bug report. It's not on Steam, but you can grab it on Itch (itch profile chezjfrey)
