Sadly he's no longer with us, but this was Smokey, an old and sick stray that was welcomed inside to live out the last year of his life in peace and comfort. I miss him. :')

I'm sure he must have been so happy to spend his last year with you :) he's a beauty!

I love my black cat Momo that my wife made us adopt but I didn’t want to and now he is the best thing in my day

I would love to adopt a black cat one day :) I'm sure he loves you too!

used to have 2 bunnies, then they passed away. Recently I got 2 tortoises and they are pretty cool!
but they seem to be even more curious than the bunnies I had and keep wanting to wander off and explore.
So, I'm thinking about releasing them in the wild if I felt like they aren't getting adjusted to life as pets
phew pardon my wall of text, what's your pet? betting 100$ on cat/dog

Be weary about letting them out, even though they might seem wanderous they might not be able to survive on their own! But I'll take the 100 dollars, I have 4 rats haha

Rats are amazing! I've had rats twice, and I really consider getting rats again.
The second group I had were really clever, or at least one of them was, as they figured out how the lock on their cage worked. I discovered this when I came home one day and noticed that a box of treats I had for them on a shelf above the cage had been tipped over. They had managed to get out, climbed up on the cage and then somehow they got up on the shelf above, despite that being quite high up for them. They had simply tipped over the box of treats so the treats fell into their cage and then just went back home. When I found them they were sleeping, surrounded by rat treats. From that day on their cage was closed with a padlock.

one of my rats figured out to do so as well and the rest ran out, in the end 3 were back in cage but one of them got behind a massive wooden construction and I had to break it to get him out :D

yeah it's a shame how they raise them in captivity, they become too dependent on a carer
lol I'm not handing any money before proof!

I don't have any pets right now, but my sister has two cats and I snapped this photo of them a little while back. The radiator is warm, so they really like that spot.

I'm not sure how to show a picture, but I can definitely describe my pet. I have a bearded dragon that I adopted from a rescue. A particularly interesting thing about this lizard is that he is a leatherback, which is a morph / genetic trait that changes the way his scales are pronounced. Instead of this really rough sandpapery texture that beardies are known for, he has more of a feeling of a really rough leather on his back (hence the name), which is nice because I'm naturally sensitive to touch and I vastly prefer the gentler texture. It also changes the colour scheme a bit from a yellow or red tint to more of a coffee / cappuccino look, which I also adore. I got really lucky, because in the 10 years of that rescue being active, they've only ever had one leatherback. They're desired and more expensive, but they let me adopt him because they saw how much I cared ^w^

That's so cool! Such an amazing story, I love bearded dragons but had no clue about such morph!

We have 4 cockatiels and 3 budgies. The oldest cockatiel is called Barney and will be 10 years old this year. He can sing songs that we taught him, such as a song from Disney's Snow White. Now that it is getting warm, they are looking forward to sitting at the window and watching everything outside. Once a pigeon came by, but there was a lot of screaming because they were all scared xD

Haha that must have been funny! My friends have love birds and I adore how dorky they are. My grandpa used to have a budgie and she was amazing, could fly freely and always would come back!
