Nah, it's the bear you need to look out for. Although knowing the usual HOG formula, the bear will turn out to be some kind of supernatural entity from a different dimension harvesting souls or whatever but he only does it because he is forced to by some other supernatrual entity from the same dimension, the true villain of the piece.
Plot twist: the true villain aslo masquerades as the sheriff to keep the townsfolk unsuspecting.
