During Purim, Haman (the king's advisor) in ancient Persia wanted to kill all the Jews and he got the tallest tree to hang Mordechai on.
In the end the king appointed Mordechai as his new advisor and hanged Haman on the same tree Haman got in order to hang Mordechai on.
"A man must get drunk, till he wouldn't be able to know [...]"
It is actually in Aramaic, not Hebrew.
This is the shorter version which implies to the longer version which is:
"A man must get drunk till he wouldn't be able to tell who's the cursed Haman and who's the blessed Mordechai"
It is a "Mitzva" to get drunk during Purim, but the word is "להתבסם" which means (in this context) like being dizzy, not fully drunk (as being drunk can be bad).
Ah very interesting! Being full-on drunk can be really bad indeed, I prefer to be להתבסם myself. Why did Haman hate the Jews so much in the first place?
When Haman used to walk in the street, people have bowed to him but Jews didn't agree to do so, as Judaism does not allow bowing to anyone but G-d.
He was very furious about that and advised the king to get rid of them all.
Sidenote: Jews were bowing to G-d while they were praying, over 2,000 years ago, only at the Holy Temple.
These days we only bend half-way down since there's no Holy Temple.
I have cod:Black ops but i dont have Cod:Mw3. I have Mw2 but not mw3. I like the story mode and some multiplayer.
