Accounts will be verified not to own the title before key is released.
If the winner has a private profile, you may have to wait for SG Staff to verify it.

You can also ask for the winner to make the account friends only for you to check before you deliver the gift. If they don't do it, it's a reason for reroll. :) Thank you!

Sure... unless the winner does not want to add strangers.
Which was the case with the original situation that brought this sort of disclaimer i post into existence. They basically said it was against the rules to "make rules" and by stating i verified the winner not to own the game i was asking them to a) be public or b) friend me, which both they were against. So in the many replies I received, they said you can ask SG to verify and the winner has to do nothing but wait.

You're right on the support thing, although I don't know which methods they use to verify that. But it's up to you to decide the way you deliver the game. It's not a rule you're making. There was a post once from the mods (in a thread I can't remember now, unfortunately) that they stated you could always add somebody to deliver the game, if you wished to do so and if they refused, it was enough reason to request a reroll (after the waiting period) under the "Winner Rejected Gift" reason. In this thread, people were discussing that they always delivered gifts personally, as that made it more difficult for the person to ignore the deliverance or pretend they ignored the deliverance of the gift, which causes problems of not knowing if they used the game key when the need for rerolls appears.
I have had the situation of private profiles about 3 or 4 times before. The last 2 were recently, and I asked them to change it for a minute for me to check, and they complied. The others was in the beginning, and I wasn't really aware of this, so I just gave the games and didn't check anything.
Anyway, I hope you don't have any kind of problem with that. :)

Someone mentioned it was related to the weekly sync, and being able to see the game data.
But that said. Those who never sync until its forced have a few days up on winning multiple keys still. But oh well, such is life.
As far as the original topic, I really am fine with sending a ticket and waiting. It's not me waiting to receive a game.
The last person i asked to go public for just a moment actually said something like "this is bs". I didn't care to friend a stranger, they didn't care to go public. We all have choices. But honestly if it was an option to exclude private profiles, i would.
