Unfortunately it's not available on steam anymore since they ran out of keys when it was on sale a while back.
This CD-key is redeemable on steam, bought from gamesplanet.

I kinda dislike Apple products - one reason is that they do not natively play FLAC and Ogg Vorbis, my favourite lossless and lossy format respectively :). Anyway, happy birthday!

The games on Steam are limited? Never heard about that.

The game originally was released on a different platform which went under.
So valve offered to sell the codes that were left on steam.
3rd party games that require keys are limited, sometimes steam runs out of keys. Last winter FlatOut was on sale and they ran out of keys after just one hour. the sale was replaced with another game.
Since the publisher went under with the platform (forgot the names) there were never any new keys "calculated" or whatever you would call it. Thus, prey is getting rarer and rarer over time.
