aw fuck. i thought it was gonna be cute while watching it, i was confused, keep watching to the end, i figured things out in my own story in my head piecing together the story via the context, then i went to the source YT page and read this description

its one thing to think of a context story and not being 100% sure of whats going on while being optimistic that its just a cute /weird music video thing but another to actually read and have it be confirmed in the summary of the video description that its is a short film with its own proper sad backstory

Well... that's certainly true. I think though the theme is optimistic in its sad way.

"Shelter" certainly shows that we should never lose hope. Such small girl Rin can be hopeful for seven year, staying with happy state of mind, then why we shouldn't? We have no argument to complain because even if her life looks like that, separated alone wavering in space. She has her happy moments even if short, as long as she can remember them, her state of mind will stay healthy.

I think there is nothing more beautiful and tragic than waiting for your love/guardian/savior. Its just showing the capability of that person, their own feelings and self-sacrifice for others. I can't see that video differently, but simply admiring and being happy for Rin, that she is soo strong.

i will definitely have to give this another watch, now knowing the true back story+ now wanting to see the optimistic side that you see

this definitely needs 1 blind watch without knowing like most of us here did, and then another watch after learning more about it. trying to see things differently.
