Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships.
Global map, sea battle, land battle; several long chains of quests with an interesting plot/story and a lot of small ones. Also, it's very difficult for beginner, and when I played it, I did not have internet and guides, so I remember this game very well.
Also I really liked Rainbow Islands (this version: http://i.imgur.com/orQXXnM.png).

Bushido Blade 2.
Wonderfull fight game. No energy bar, no "colorfull specials". Your first attack was a sword slash direct to the head? You've killed! Your oponent's first attack was a sword stad direct to the heart? You're dead! You also have a secondary weapon you can throw, a shuriken, knife, little sword... You're standing over water or sand? You can grab it and throw it at your oponent's face.

Baldur's Gate II, followed by the original Doom.

Doom 2, I can always go back and play it for mindless fun.

Ocarina of Time - such classic gameplay!

Cant point the exact title.... maybe The Witcher for storytelling? Morrowind for consuming MONTHS of my life with exploration back in the day? Mass Effect series for the sci-fi themes and rpg elements.
Right now its Warframe (hate the grind) and Ghost Recon Phantoms (hate the P2W model) - my online addiction ;)

Dark Souls followed by the first BioShock and Saboteur.

i really like tropico 5 right now!! Just need the dlc to expand the game!!

Kerbal Space Program, its a game that simply had not been done before (as far as I know).

Its a teaching tool yet its so much fun.
