I would go for curved.

Super wide-screen so you can run your main app, game, whatever in a standard ratio "full size" window and have a bit of extra space for other things - email, chat client, music or podcast app etc?

How about maybe second hand to keep those finite (conflict) metals and petroleum in the ground...
