Thanks for the GA and above all enjoy the cute kitty times!

Also try to enjoy the clean-up times... they need our help to be domestic animals 🙂

Thank you. 🙂

Yeah but my germphobia especially revolves around poo (gonna be a very big problem if i had a baby now) i don't want to sound too clinical and while some countries have a thing called a bidet, i shower each time.
And when it's combined with kitty litter that might not even be the biggest problem (although my mom always stores the litter stuff in a plastic bag in the shed) but i don't have that, how would i deal with that when it's 30c? I mean i also already think (way too much) about practical issues, like how would i get the balcony cat proof.

But suppose they have accidents where half the floor is covered you know, i mean i seen that at home with my mom, and always freaked me out and i would take a bath, but i don't have that anymore here (and already gotten over many things) i am not going to be that person that is saying oh i can't seem to deal with it, i am putting the cat away again, if i make this decision i have to stick with it and be sure, and i think and hope that eventually when it happened a bunch of times where i can say yeah okay fine been there done that, it's okay.

I got an appointment with the shrink next week, hoping he would finally give me that medicine i am wanting so long (for anxiety/stress but because of its being strong addictive its hard to get) and that it's working so i could deal with this stuff more easier.

Regarding messes, no matter how repulsive it might seem in your head, you can always ask yourself "will this literally kill me?", and 99.99999% of the time -- no, it won't -- it's perfectly fine to clean it up, which is also a much better alternative to leaving it there.

Exam style latex gloves might be an option too. And for the litter dust (from the litter material itself, not the kitty waste), I actually kinda liked, during COVID, I would keep the COVID mask on.

Balcony proofing is a good idea for when the cat is still a little kitten. They don't necessarily know where they shouldn't go yet. Our little one, when she was still young enough to have blue eyes (we found her in a car engine), was on our couch, and walked towards the ottoman in front of the couch, completely trusting that the air in between the two would support her weight. It was really funny, and still don't let her live it down years later, but if that drop had been from a balcony, we definitely wouldn't be laughing. Ideally, simply don't let them out onto the balcony for a while.

Cats are amazing critters though, and can also survive falls from ridiculous heights (though that shouldn't be tested!) Though they're more independent than dogs, their companionship can be pretty awesome too, and I hope you find yourself with a lifelong friend!

Yeah but i used to feel it through my whole body (like my aura), my clothes, at my moms place, she has bad eyesight, so i eventually had to clean it up anyway, but i would always go in bath (which i can't do anymore here as i only got a shower).
Maybe you are right, and since i moved i already done things i normally wouldn't have done, but this is a very big switch to turn, if only it were that easy.
I can offcourse also just take the safe route and not get a cat, but i think and hope once i done it enough, i am like okay whatever, lets do this, i am also under treatment of a shrink and i got diazepam/temazepam but those are very short term relievers, i so much want to try clonazepam (against stress and anxiety) but they are very hesistant, and i got a big immunity to things, but i was kinda maybe hoping that would improve my mindset even more that i could handle this all much better, have to wait on thursday for that.

I saw a blooper clip once where a small cat tried to jump off the bed to the ledge of a window, that jump was way bigger then he/she could make offcourse, yeah young kittens really need some extra attention.

Since i got two left hands and no family/friends i have to rely on volunteers to help me, next week they come hang my lamps (i been camping with my mobile light for 2 weeks now), i hope he has the time if i go for a cat that he could help me with the balcony soon but yeah let him just adjust to the apartment itself first, and most of all find the litter box.
Wiith my moms cats, when we had flies inside the house, i was like investigate this, turned out they made droppings under the cabinets alongside the whole wall.

Yeah i love that they are independent, so you don't have to give them constant attention, and most of all even if it's raining, freezing, you don't have to walk them out (and walk with a bag behind them) and stores like amazon has food much cheaper then a supermarket and you have it delivered to your door and not have to bike 2km with heavy packages.

Thank you!

Thanks for this, and do put pics of your kitty (kitties?) in the Cozy thread once you get it/them!!

We got two kitties (well they were already 10months old) early March, and it's so soothing to watch them!!
Hope yours bring light to your life, too!

Thank you a lot for the giveaway!

I'd also pick kittens above games anytime, hopefully I'll have enough free time one day and I'll be able to get two of those fluffy balls myself, till then it's only cat cafes for me^^
