Please suggest me horror books. Something that will make me afraid to sleep at night.

Hmmm, if i.m talking about S.King, than Buick 8, Joland, 11/22/63 aka Dallas '63, Dr. Sleep (continuation of Shining), Under The Dome (not a classic horoor, but grat book) and so on :D

Necroscope book series by Brian Lumley. Found the first one about 15 years ago and immediately fell in love with the style and the story. Kind of gorish and some sexual things involved but what you expect from the vampires (no, not the sparkly p***y ones!) ^^

Don't really read horror books, but I read one Stephan King book (which title I totally forget) so IMO you can try something from him :))

Frank Herbert's Haunted is decent but I find reading creepy pastas more unnerving.

It's not just a book
A novel.. A light novel xD
The title is Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria or HakoMari
If you want horror kinda with mystery
I recommend The Three Investigators
They had some creepy moment.. Just a little, but sometimes creepy enough to make you can't sleep xD

The most disturbing thing I've ever read: The Resort by Bentley Little. shudders It's a trip into madness, I tell you. O_O
My favorite Dean Koontz book: Twilight Eyes (so good!)

I may say everything from H.P. Lovecraft. I think he was actually an amazing writer. He's the one who invented the Necronomicon and the Ancient Gods such as Chtulhu.

I have read his complete works but unfortunately they are far from scary.

I don't read horror books but there are books which are scary because of other reasons.
For example Daemon and Darknet from Daniel Suarez. The scary thing is, that we seem to become the society that is described there.
The same way we nearly became the society of 1984. But at least the telescreens are much smaller than Orwell described them and they have a lot of nice apps! :P

It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who immediately recommend King and Koontz but have never even heard of Richard Laymon. Try out In the Dark, One Rainy Night, Island, Night in the Lonesome October and/or Resurrection Dreams.
If you're looking for more sleaze with your horror, you can't go wrong with Edward Lee. Bighead, City Infernal series, Monstrosity and the Messenger are all fun times.

I'm unfortunately inexperienced in horrific literature.
The only books i read that were scary were the old goosebumbs series and even that was not outrageously scary.
Thank you very much for the giveaway though, good luck getting your wits scared out of you. ^^
