I have always been interested in learning more about programming and hacking. But, while I have improved my computer skills over the years, I would like to learn to learn more about programming languages and try out some more hacking programs.
So, for those who read this description, please leave some comments recommending some programming languages and hacking programs that are current, easy to understand and use, and have many practical uses. (Helpful comment writers will be added to my Whitelist for future giveaways.)
Good luck to everyone who enter this giveaway!

hmmm... I don't know much about programming languages or hacking programs since I am just starting out myself since I am just starting to learn about it myself.
First thing I did as a beginner though was find a good IDE (Integrated development environment). Some IDE's are Microsoft Visual Studio, Komodo, Eclipse, etc.
The IDE you pick probably depends on what language you are using. Since I am using C#, I prefer Visual Studio.
Hope this helped somewhat....

Python is probably the easiest to understand and has a good number of useful things. If you want versatility, C++ is probably the way to go.

I don't know any hacking programs, but for programming I can recommend also Python and C++ and for some things even Java.
I also like R, but that's not that easy and not that common but very diverse because of it's packages (it's open souce).
