Welcome to the eleventh week of the 52 weeks of Christmas!!!
What is the 52 weeks of Christmas you might ask? Well it is an idea I had where I will be gifting a new game every week for 52 weeks(that's a whole year!!!) and hopefully making someone's week feel like Christmas in the process. I hope you will have as much fun as I do with this.
New Week, New Question: Here is something that bothers me increasingly: What do you guys think of DLC in general ? Not that "somewhat" big ones like Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas "Adventure Packs". No I am speaking of Minuscule DLCs like that of Hitman Absolution. Mini DLC like Single Guns/Suits for the Player Character and such. I know many collectors are looking at them as cheap increases of the Game Library, but what does the "average" Player think about it ?
Thanks Moltavis for the question
Response: I would not buy those dlcs. I don't mind them anymore as long as they do not interfere with the main game(they became a really of the industry). I do understand why some people dislike/hate them. They used to be bonuses in older games and it is sad that some companies likes to nicked and dime customers that way instead of bringing new content to the game. This is what I though dlcs would be when they were first announced, an easier medium for companies to deliver expansion packs to customers. However we are stuck with meaningless dlc that sometimes strips the game of feature later added at a price or even free(If you played Army of Two the 40th day you know what I'm talking about).
I will even add another part to this question, what do you guys think of dlcs pricing? what do you guys think of the fact that they never go down in price(depreciation not sales)? Dlcs for games that are close to 5 year old still cost the same even sometimes higher than the base price of the game. Let me know what you guys think.
You can join my Steam group where you will be alerted of all my giveaways, participate from time to time in choosing my next giveaway and even chose which game related question to ask. Thanks :) A discussion thread will also be open with this question and the old one if you want to discuss it with me or others :)

Thanks for the giveaway!
As for your DLC question, I think some of it is good and some of it is awful. All the DLC for cosmetic stuff, cheats, unlocks and in-game items that make the game easier are bad DLC in my opinion. Some content DLC can be bad too, if the content is cut from the game and then sold separately. Good example of that would Street Fighter X Tekken, in which the character DLCs were already on the disc. The pricing is okay I think, since you can often buy the DLC cheaper bundled or just wait for a complete or GOTY edition of the game. Still, I'd rather have proper expansion packs (remember those?) with lots of content than some half-assed DLC that doesn't add much to the game.

DLCs are EVIL!
I thought that I don't need them, but now I see, that I have this stupid thought: gotta catch 'em all
Probably, companies think very similar. Give them any piece of game, and they'll buy it, becasue they're collectors.

Basically Desidiosus said most of everything there is to say.
I miss expansion packs where there was a major part of the story that was important not just some side mission.
I also don't approve of DLC on disc.
I don't mind small DLC that has just some weapon or skin or whatever. I won't buy them. I find it funny that there are smaller DLCs for games where modding is a big thing. For example the maps in Civilization 5 when workshop will probably offer you the same for free, or anything for The Elder Scrolls. Remember Horse Armor? Bethesda realized they can't pull that again.
There's one thing that's bugging me with the community. While most people say they are against these things and criticize the big companies for creating them, no one is saying anything against Magicka and Dungeon Defenders and maybe others. These guys seem to live off of small DLC.
I'm going to go a little off topic here and talk about DLC on other platforms. No, it's not about PS3 and Skyrim, that's just unfortunate. When a game gets released on a new system it usually gets some additional content. Sometimes that content isn't available on the original platform and I feel like the ones who originally supported the game get the wrong end of the stick. I'm not sure if Dark Souls on PS/XBox got the PC extra content, or if the PC will get the Wii U content for Trine 2.
One last thing to say are map packs. If you aren't CoD then you can't get away with this, you will just split up the players. Hey, Section 8, how's it going?
Thank you xamon! I really wanted this.

Really Big DLCs or Addons e.g. The Ballad of Gay Tony are awesome, but little shit like costumes or weapons are crap, as well as like 15 $ Map Macks with 5 maps

I get the DLCs based on how I like the respective game. Sometimes they indeed add something "big", and sometimes, I say to myself "yeah, the game is so good that I could have paid more, so here you go, I'll buy this DLC -- because although it adds just a tiny bit, it's a tiny bit of something damn good". :-) (Also, thanks!)

Thank you xamon0288 for the giveaway! I'm not a big fan of DLC. Unfortunately as long as people keep buying them, developers will keep making them. I think GOTY or "complete" upgrade packs should be made available for more games. Often times the GOTY edition of a game is cheaper than buying all the little DLCs from the steam store. A real bummer if you already own the base game.
