Have you tried contacting the company? If it was left there and nobody took it for himself, there's a chance the cleaning crew stored in a "Lost and found" area.

I had the same with my birthday present, cellphone, it was some years ago so it was some very old Simens, but it was pretty something back then :/ Forgot to check seat in train. Bad memories, hope you will get something good soon what will make you forget about the old one :)
