Even though the games are the same aside from the name change it's actually two separate games and an account can own both. The issue is that as the site pulls data from the US store it isn't actually detecting Dawn of Magic II. So technically whilst providing a key for Dawn of Magic II should be against the rules support are aware of the issue and allow for giveaways in this manner.
Thanks for the extra info. Specifically the key being given is for https://steamdb.info/sub/17677/ which contains https://steamdb.info/app/33540/ which is the game in this giveaway. So it should all be good and detected as owned by the eventual winner.
