Opinions are divided, but majority wants to start our way going through the ruins. We think it's the safest place. King blesses the group of such a brave people for the journey and we start moving towards what is labeled on the map Old Ruins. The road is good, 10 days pass without particular accidents and we arrive to our first destination.
This once huge city was definitely related to our nation in the old times. We see similar architecture and steens. Most of the ruins are badly damaged. We see the trace of fresh residence as well -- remains of bonfires and a bit of garbage.
Can it be that barbarians use this place as a temporary shelter? Are they responsible for the current condition of this once great city? Were local population part of us or were they maybe our enemies? We will never know answers for these questions... We keep exploring the place with hope to find something useful for our journey.
Finally, a few people find the wall full of writings. They differ from ours and not everything can be read, but maybe we can translate at least something?

We also found a stone slab that contained some text of the area in multiple languages - we could identify the language used on the wall, and an archaic form of guiberish, our very own language! Our elders managed to decipher, what information may have left for us:

Umm... I tried to crack that remembering of an ancient writings I saw elsewhere, and got this kinda message:
"IN THE EAST CONSTANT STORMS AND HLRD CREATURES ANOTHER E??EDITION FAILED HILL NEFER REAG PARADISE LANDS AGAIN"
