Is the whole series really this good? Unfortunately I wouldn't say so (shadowrun returns is quite short, without memorable characters and voiced dialogues, while shadowrun hong-kong has, in my opinion, not appealing story - I was really disappointed by it). Combat gameplay is the same for all of them - it's basically simplified xcom (and I love that).
This one though is a masterpiece - it has really interesting setting, great voiceacting, story, and characters - all of this while being around 45-50 hours long. It's just a great game :)

I feel that, even if you personally feel that Dragonfall is the best one, the other two still hold up as comparable - and others might prefer either due to taste differences.
