The Dickens - Andersen line drew my attention and looked it up. Interesting story about the end of a "friendship"..

In all honesty I haven't read/noticed all the "facts-quotes" you mentioned in the giveaways, but a few words that my eyes pick up here and there make me read a bit more on a story. Bit of a failed one-sided romance this one but it's also interesting to find out how some of these famous people have actually met with each other. You're used to think of them as living in some isolated universe, doing their work/art and then.."so they did live among normal people and among other famous.."
Also some cat gifs are gold, like the two "robot" cats that drop to the floor, one after the other..hilarious..
Cheers

Yeah, anything just a bit further away from us in distance/time/etc. tends to get quite abstracted.

I think 99% of the cat gifs came from posts on here; I'm really glad I started collecting them at some point. They are just lovely to look at.
