Homefront is, in my opinion, the best military shooter since the first Black Ops. I have more fun with it than Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and Black Ops 2 combined. Yes, you may ignore the single player campaign, as you probably did with the previously cited games. The multiplayer is however undeniably fantastic, featuring satisfying gunplay, great level design, and loads of variety in terms of planning and executing strategies.

Some of you may know that the developer, Kaos Studios, was unfortunately closed during THQ's recent drawn-out demise. That means we'll never see a true sequel from the same people. (A sequel is however being developed elsewhere, since the license has been transferred.) Sad and dissappointing, yes, but at least we have the original to play and enjoy for many years to come.

On to this particular giveaway...

Express 870 Shotgun

Homefront's weapons loadout is reasonably small, but perfectly designed, with meaningful differences between weapons in terms of looks, handling and effectiveness. The Express 870 Shotgun is THE ONLY SHOTGUN IN THE GAME. It is not effective on maps with a spread out layout. What it is, however, is massively effective on the smaller maps where a short range approach will mean INSTANT DEATH for your enemies.

I recommend Homefront as a purchase over Black Ops 2 et al. It really is that good. And if you already own Homefront, but do not win this giveaway, you can't go wrong with purchasing this shotgun. It is rather affordably priced after all.
